Students for Justice In Palestine at The Ohio State University (SJP OSU) is a student organization that advocates for Palestinian liberation, rights, and freedom through activism, events, education, and community organizing. As Co-Content Creation chair at SJP OSU, I have worked collaboratively on many forms of media to further our mission including educational resources, signage, social media posts, photography, and videography.  Using these tools, our team works towards centering our narrative to educate the community, reach out to current and potential members, and convey our demands to people ranging from university administration to governmental bodies. In addition to content creation, I have also played a role in organizing events and actions within the community.
Educational Pamphlet
I collaborated on informational pamphlets throughout the year to define and consolidate the information we typically need to give out during our outreach efforts.
Signage/Art builds
Consistent and bold messaging is important to SJP OSU's goals when doing events and mobilizing the community. My team and I work together to create messaging in various ways to make media in the form of signs, banners, and art builds.
Social Media Posts
Social media, especially Instagram, is incredibly important for SJP OSU when it comes to promoting events, putting out statements, sharing educational resources, building a public identity, and connecting with others. Our content creation team works collaboratively within our team and with other organizations to pursue these goals.
Photography
I take photos at many events and actions to document and share what we do to encourage the community to continue coming out and have a record of our efforts.
Videography
I film events and actions to document and share what SJP OSU is doing. Different forms of media like photography, videography, and designed posts help create a range of content to connect with our base and diversify our media efforts.
