Dismantling the Racial Wealth Gap is a guide tailored to Huntington that outlines how the American financial system oppresses Black, Indigenous, and people of color. It also describes how to start creating trusting relationships with communities that have been oppressed historically and in the present in Columbus, Ohio. The guide outlines eight phases to the process of building trust and designing systemic change which includes internally reflecting, conducting workshops, and making sense of the outcomes. The guide is partnered with an activity workbook that details the steps and tools you would need to complete each of the recommended activities. As Huntington works through these phases, activities, and lessons, they will work towards understanding their positionality, building horizontal relationships, creating coalitions, having open discussions with community members, and conducting focused workshops to ignite systemic change within Huntington and the broader financial system.
